Photographing Artwork

It is so important to artists to have good photographs. A professional should be the place to start, but if you’re venturing on trying to do it yourself… good luck! Only kidding. Three quick tips;

1. Be sure your camera is not straight on to your artwork. You should be slightly off to the side so that if you’re using a flash, you will not get a reflection.

2. The best place to photograph your artwork is outside, in the shade.

3. Always take more than one photo at different exposures and angles so you’ll have something to pick from.

Enjoy!
